Reconstruction of Astana Drinking Water Filtration Station

Project Details: The reconstruction of the existing pump-driven drinking water filtration station with a capacity of 200,000 m³/day involved the construction of new facility buildings, renovation of the facades and roofs of existing structures, completion of all interior finishing works, construction of steel structures, repair mortar and epoxy insulation works on water structures, and landscaping. Additionally, all underground/aboveground and in-building steel, HDPE, and stainless steel piping were replaced, all valve and pump systems were renewed, a hypochlorite system was installed and commissioned, polymer units were replaced with new ones, and all other process equipment was updated. Heating and ventilation systems were also renewed, and all electrical automation materials and equipment were updated and adapted to the existing operational facility. The project was completed in 2017.
